Tarkir: Dragonstorm takes us back to Tarkir, an iconic plane that we haven't explored since 2015. The Khans of Tarkir set immersed us in the homeland of Sarkhan Vol, a world ruled by five warring clans where dragons had vanished. The events of Fate Reforged saw Sarkhan travel into the past to alter history and save the spirit dragon Ugin. Dragons of Tarkir revealed an alternate present where dragonlords reign supreme, having overthrown the clans.

With Tarkir: Dragonstorm, rediscover everything that made this plane legendary! Ugin has awakened from his slumber, weakening the power of the dragonstorms. The Phyrexian invasion further weakened the dragons’ strength, allowing the five human clans to reorganize under their former names.

With the approval of the other clan leaders, the former Planeswalker Narset performed a ritual to unify Tarkir. This ritual unleashed a massive dragonstorm, from which five spirit dragons emerged, each bonding with a clan leader and enabling them to overthrow the dragonlords. Now, on Tarkir, the dragonstorms rage more fiercely than ever, and a fragile peace, punctuated by conflict, remains between the clans.
