Torment

Torment takes place right after Odyssey. Chainers, a member of the Cabal finds the Mirari in a ruin under Cabal City. Despise the temptation caused by the artifact, he decides to bring it to the patriarch. Then, a council with the ambassador of each Otarian faction takes place in the city featuring ambassador Laquatus from the Cephalid empire, Lieutenant Kirt from the Order and Kamahl from the Pardic montains. The council is interrupted by the Krosan Dragon attacking the city and attracted by the emanations of the Mirari. Laquatus uses that attack as a diversion to steal the Mirari and brings it to his emperor who will be corrupted by its power and will use it to sink a third of Otaria and will die when the artifact will absorb the rest of his life force. Then a battle to get the hand on the Mirari will follow where Chainer will fall. Then, Kamahl takes the Mirari with him and goes to exile to preserve it from the mortals greed.
