Antiquities

Antiquities is the first edition of Magic to propose an original story. It takes place from the point of view of Dominaria who will be the plan where will take place mainly of the story up to the block Onslaught. This edition puts the bases of the story of the brothers Urza and Mishra. The brothers discovered two stones of power (Mightstone and Weakstone) during archaeological excavations to perfect their knowledge of the ancient Thran civilisation . These stones had the power to open a portal towards the infernal plan of Phyrexia. Urza, from his side, decided to use stones to seal the portal while his brother, Mishra, thought that he was more sensible to go to explore this plan to use his mysteries in their advantage. Both brothers found themselves each at the head of teir army to defend their beliefs. After years of war, Urza used the power of an ancient artifact known as the Golgothian Sylex which destroyed both armies and a huge part of the Plane. Both brothers seemed dead during a long time.
